| Gene Description | GNAI2, G protein subunit alpha i2, encodes a G protein subunit that mediates the inhibition of adenylyl cyclase downstream of GPCR activation (PMID: 1851251, PMID: 10644457), and regulates diverse biological processes, including insulin sensitivity (PMID: 11500506, PMID: 17928396), immune cell development (PMID: 17579064, PMID: 15780991), and inflammatory response (PMID: 9013944, PMID: 30683698). GNAI2 mutations have been identified in Burkitt lymphoma (PMID: 36201743), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PMID: 23699601), and epitheliotropic intestinal T-cell lymphoma (PMID: 26854024), and increased GNAI2 expression has been observed in hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 36805440). | ||||||||||||
