| Gene Description | UBE2T, ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 T, encodes an E2 ubiquitin ligase that mediates monoubiquitination of FANCD2 and FANCI (PMID: 26119737, PMID: 16916645), and plays a role in regulation of nucleotide excision repair (PMID: 22615860) and homologous recombination (PMID: 39152113). UBE2T mutations are associated with Fanconi anemia (PMID: 26046368, PMID: 26085575), which involves predisposition to various cancers (PMID: 25237197, PMID: 32235514), and increased expression of UBE2T has been identified in several tumor types (PMID: 36825587, PMID: 27729585), including ovarian cancer (PMID: 35130130), prostate cancer (PMID: 26308072), and breast cancer (PMID: 36338541). | ||||||||||
