| Gene Description | GRPR, gastrin releasing peptide receptor, is a G-protein-coupled receptor that mediates downstream signaling in response to ligand binding, and plays a role in regulation of cell proliferation, hormone secretion, and gastrointestinal motility (PMID: 18055507, PMID: 10446156, PMID: 42833072). Mutations in GRPR have been identified in non-antral gastric adenocarcinoma (PMID: 10422879) and colon cancer (PMID: 12720295), and overexpression of GRPR has been observed in various tumor types (PMID: 42339117) including prostate (PMID: 21739464), breast (PMID: 28280221), and cervical cancer (PMID: 36761980). | ||||||||||||
