Gene Description GSK3B, glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta, is a serine-threonine kinase that is involved in glycogen synthesis, regulates proteosomal degradation of signaling molecules including beta-catenin, Ccnd1, Myc, and Jun (PMID: 11563964, PMID: 29379583), and also promotes cell survival through activation of NF-kappaB signaling (PMID: 28053024). GSK3B overexpression has been identified in pancreatic and colorectal cancer (PMID: 22100174, PMID: 16043125).
