Gene Description H3-3B, H3 histone family member 3B, encodes the H3.3 histone variant, which is a component of the nucleosome, and plays a role in transcriptional regulation and genomic stability (PMID: 27894815, PMID: 25773741). H3-3B mutations have been associated with chondroblastoma, and have been identified in clear-cell chondrosarcoma and osteosarcoma (PMID: 24162739).
