Gene Description HLA-A, HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, plays a role in the presentation of foreign antigens to the immune system (PMID: 17326240). A fusion of HLA-A with ROS1 has been observed in spitzoid neoplasms (PMID: 24445538), and HLA-A mutations have been associated with chronic myelogenous leukemia (PMID: 20388056), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (PMID: 22814293), and nasopharyngeal carcinoma (PMID: 22880099).
