| Gene Description | HLA-DRB4, major histocompatibility complex, class II, DR beta 4, encodes a component of the human leukocyte antigen class II histocompatibility complex, which is involved in the presentation of antigens to the immune system (PMID: 10717810). An increased frequency of HLA-DRB4 has been observed in males with pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 12008082) while decreased frequency of HLA-DRB4 has been observed in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 17893434). | ||||||||||||
