Gene Description HOXC11, homeobox C11, is a HOX-family transcription factor that plays an important role in kidney development (PMID: 9510030, PMID: 12050119). A NUP98-HOXC11 fusion has been identified in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 12183408, PMID: 12970787) and overexpression of Hoxc11 has been identified in renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 25476856), gastric adenocarcinoma (PMID: 33688200), and colorectal cancer (PMID: 39080613).
