| Gene Description | PRMT2, protein arginine methyltransferase 2, is one of six Type I protein arginine methyltransferases (PMID: 30382083) that functions as a coactivator for nuclear receptors including estrogen receptor-alpha, progestrone receptor, and retinoic acid receptor-alpha (PMID: 24921003). Expression of alternative splice variants of PRMT2 have been associated with breast cancer (PMID: 24921003, PMID: 28677794) and overexpression has been associated with poor prognosis in glioblastoma (PMID: 30382083). | ||||||||||||
