| Gene Description | HSP90AA1, heat shock protein 90 alpha family class A member 1, encodes a cytosolic isoform of Hsp90, which functions as a molecular chaperone to regulate the activities of several cellular proteins (PMID: 26071189) and plays a role in regulating autophagy (PMID: 30153855). Overexpression of Hsp90aa1 has been associated with several tumor types (PMID: 26071189), including pancreatic and thymic carcinoma (PMID: 31814876), while decreased expression in squamous cell lung cancer has been associated with decreased survival (PMID: 32194709). | ||||||||||
