Gene Description ID4, inhibitor of DNA binding 4, HLH protein, is a member of the Id family of helix-loop-helix (HLH) proteins, which bind other HLH family members to negatively regulate their activity (PMID: 25248477, PMID: 16034366, PMID: 28143562). Dysregulation of Id4 expression is associated with several tumor types including glioblastoma (PMID: 20842217), prostate cancer (PMID: 28252832), and the basal-like subtype of breast cancer (PMID: 28652379).
