| Gene Description | IGF2R, insulin like growth factor 2 receptor, encodes a type-I integral membrane glycoprotein receptor belonging to the p-type lectin family that binds mannose-6-phosphate and insulin-like growth factor 2 (PMID: 12612639), and plays a role in lysosomal enzyme transport (PMID: 2964276, PMID: 2545698, PMID: 22266136) and regulation of Igf2 levels (PMID: 19646808). Mutations in IGF2R have been identified in several tumor types (PMID: 11086202, PMID: 9516081), including breast cancer (PMID: 9516081), lung squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 10734317), and hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 7493029). | ||||||||||||
