Gene Description FAS, Fas cell surface death receptor, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor family of receptors and plays an important role in programed cell death (PMID: 12040174, PMID: 11048730). Mutations in FAS have been identified in non-Hodgkin lymphoma (PMID: 9787134), and altered expression has been identified in solid tumors including colorectal cancer (PMID: 28766682), and breast cancer (PMID: 28121628).
