Gene Description IL2RA, interleukin 2 receptor subunit alpha, also known as CD25, acts as low-affinity receptor for IL2 and forms the high-affinity IL2 receptor in conjunction with IL2RB and ILR2G, and plays a role in activation and proliferation of immune cells (PMID: 23352221, PMID: 28556984). IL2RA expression is associated with several hematological tumor types, including adult T-cell leukemia and hairy cell leukemia (PMID: 28556984).
