| Gene Description | IL6ST, interleukin 6 cytokine family signal transducer, forms a complex with members of the IL6 family of cytokines and their receptors and activates downstream pathways including JAK/STAT (PMID: 8632998, PMID: 38133879), SHP2/MAPK/ERK, and PIK3/AKT pathway signaling (PMID: 19665497), and plays a role in regulating cell migration and proliferation (PMID: 12219085, PMID: 35435804). Variants in IL6ST, including activating in-frame deletions, have been observed in inflammatory hepatocellular adenoma (PMID: 19020503, PMID: 24501689), and in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (PMID: 35768438). | ||||||||||||
