| Gene Description | ING1, inhibitor of growth family member 1, is involved in the regulation of histone acetylation and deacetylation (PMID: 2341250, PMID: 12015309) and plays a role in several cellular processes, including senescence (PMID: 23472054), DNA repair, apoptosis (PMID: 18533182, PMID: 14572637), and gene transcription (PMID: 33925563). Mutations in ING1 have been identified in various tumor types (PMID: 18636562), including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 10866301) and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 11389058), and decreased Ing1 expression has been observed in breast cancer (PMID: 24962136). | ||||||||||
