INPP5D, inositol polyphosphate-5-phosphatase D, modulates PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling through dephosphorylation of PI(3,4,5)P3 to PI(3,4)P2 (PMID: 33672717) and plays a role in diverse biological processes (PMID: 38791291) including hematopoiesis (PMID: 19074735, PMID: 10523635, PMID: 9393882) and the function of immune cells (PMID: 21155837, PMID: 10704460). INPP5D fusions have been identified in acute lymphoblastic lymphoma (PMID: 30045148) and lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 38379102), and a mutation in INPP5D has been identified in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 12529653).
