| Gene Description | INPPL1, inositol polyphosphate phosphatase like 1, also referred to as SHIP2, modulates PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling through dephosphorylation of PI(3,4,5)P3 to PI(3,4)P2 (PMID: 38309262, PMID: 33672717) and is involved in regulation of cell proliferation (PMID: 24091101), cell polarity, and migration (PMID: 22593208). Overexpression of INPPL1 has been identified in a variety of tumor types (PMID: 33672717) including colorectal cancer (PMID: 27716613), breast cancer (PMID: 19065064), non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 24133597), and hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 24228114), and decreased expression of INPPL1 has been observed in gastric cancer (PMID: 26201869) and papillary thyroid cancer (PMID: 30464521). | ||||||||||
