| Gene Description | IRF6, interferon regulatory factor 6, encodes a transcription factor that is a downstream target of Notch signaling (PMID: 21909072) and plays a role in epidermal proliferation, differentiation, and adhesion (PMID: 17041603, PMID: 21909072, PMID: 34310950) and orofacial, craniofacial, and limb development (PMID: 12219090, PMID: 17041601). Decreased expression of Irf6 has been identified in squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 21807998, PMID: 24377609) and neuroblastoma (PMID: 40796729), while increased Irf6 expression has been observed in ovarian cancer (PMID: 38493179). | ||||||||||||
