Gene Description JARID2, jumonji and AT-rich interaction domain containing 2, is a DNA-binding protein acting as a transcriptional repressor (PMID: 12890668, PMID: 21402699) and PRC2 accessory protein (PMID: 37030288, PMID: 20064376), and plays a role in cardiac development (PMID: 10807864, PMID: 16715513, PMID: 21402699), stem cell self-renewal (PMID: 29466914), and differentiation (PMID: 33887196, PMID: 30573669). Mutations in JARID2 have been identified in triple-negative breast cancer (PMID: 33145271) and overexpression of JARID2 has been identified in oral squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 38961353).
