| Gene Description | KCNQ1, potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily Q member 1, is a voltage-dependent potassium channel family member that associates with Kcne1 to form a complex that is essential for cardiac repolarization (PMID: 31825788), and plays a role in additional cellular functions including Wnt signaling (PMID: 40410368), electrolyte and potassium ion transport (PMID: 16314573), and gastric acid secretion (PMID: 31825788). Mutations in KCNQ1 have been identified in a variety of tumor types, including colorectal cancer and skin cancer (PMID: 40410368). | ||||||||||||
