Gene Description KCNQ2, potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily Q member 2, is a subunit of the M channel, a slowly activating and deactivating potassium channel that regulates neuronal excitability (PMID: 9836639). KCNQ2 is associated with several cardiac and neurological diseases and is expressed in neuroblastoma cells (PMID: 11160379; PMID: 10455268).
