Gene Description LYN, LYN proto-oncogene, Src family tyrosine kinase, is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a role in regulation of cell signaling and immune function (PMID: 25173936) and phosphorylates Ctnbb1 and Stat3 (PMID: 30969999). Activating mutations in LYN are associated with drug resistance in breast cancer (PMID: 25401474) and have also been reported in prostate and liver cancer (PMID: 30969999), Lyn overexpression is common in acute myeloid leukemia and solid tumors (PMID: 30969999, and a LYN fusion with ETV6 has been observed in leukemia (PMID: 21492125, PMID: 25401474).
