| Gene Description | MAGEA1, melanoma-associated antigen 1, is a member of the cancer testis antigen (CTA) family (PMID: 30498011, PMID: 28300603) that is normally expressed in male germ line cells and placenta (PMID: 28459460) and may play a role in increased cell motility, cell proliferation, and inflammation (PMID: 29763778). Overexpression of Magea1 has been observed in metastatic lung cancer (PMID: 30122941) and may be a prognostic marker for early detection (PMID: 29356386, PMID: 29308305). | ||||||||||
