Gene Description

MAN1A1, mannosidase alpha class 1A member 1, is a member of the GH47 Golgi mannosidase I subfamily and component of the N-linked glycosylation pathway that plays a role in regulating cell adhesion and migration (PMID: 29381688, PMID: 31659304, PMID: 32213588). Altered expression of Man1a1 has been identified in cholangiocarcinoma (PMID: 32213588), breast (PMID: 29381688), and ovarian cancers (PMID: 31659304), and a MAN1A1-ROS1 fusion has been identified in leiomyosarcoma (PMID: 33196586).
