| Gene Description | MAP3K3, mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 3, encodes a member of the MAPK superfamily of protein kinases, and plays a role in the immune system by activating the NF-kappaB pathway (PMID: 11429546, PMID: 19223432), and mediates signaling through the JNK-p38 pathway (PMID: 14634666, PMID: 16737960, PMID: 14661019). Overexpression of MAP3K3 has been identified in ovarian cancer (PMID: 31182739), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 24383423), and fusions with TNS3 and ATP2A2 have been identified in mesothelioma and atypical Spitz tumors (PMID: 25484136, PMID: 30640733). | ||||||||||
