Gene Description MEN1, menin 1, is also known as multiple endocrine neoplasia I and is a scaffold protein that can function with various partners to control gene transcription, signal transduction, and genome integrity (PMID: 23850066). Germline and somatic inactivating mutations in MEN1 are common in patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 syndrome (PMID: 9215690, PMID: 32190804, PMID: 30481156).
