Gene Description MLF1, myeloid leukemia factor 1, is a shuttling protein (PMID: 17967869, PMID: 36814822) that is involved in the regulation of several proteins, including the stability of Tp53 and Cebpa via Cop1 downregulation, thereby playing a role in cell cycle progression (PMID: 15861129, PMID: 17967869) and hematopoietic cell differentiation (PMID: 29296815). A fusion with NPM1 and MLF1 has been identified in acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome (PMID: 20471513) and increased expression of MLF1 has been observed in myelodysplastic syndrome (PMID: 11021751).
