Gene Description AFF1, AF4/FMR2 family member 1, is also referred to as AF4, and is a transcription elongation cofactor that regulates gene expression (PMID: 24367103) and plays a role in response to genotoxic stress (PMID: 31611376). AFF1 gene rearrangements with KMT2A are frequently observed in childhood leukemia (PMID: 20701601) and B-lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 32114371).
