| Gene Description | NR3C2, nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group C member 2, encodes the mineralocorticoid receptor, which is a corticosteroid receptor that binds aldosterone and regulates gene transcription (PMID: 34740745, PMID: 38714226), and plays a role in sodium homeostasis (PMID: 9689096). Decreased expression of Nr3c2 has been observed in various tumor types (PMID: 38714226) including colorectal cancer (PMID: 40229278, PMID: 36950803) and breast cancer (PMID: 33564687). | ||||||||||||
