Gene Description MYB, MYB proto-oncogene, transcription factor, is a transcriptional activator that regulates cell differentiation and proliferation (PMID: 21196221) and is highly expressed in hematopoietic progenitor cells and plays a role in hematopoiesis (PMID: 28472346). MYB is dysregulated in several tumor types (PMID: 21196221), including leukemia and breast cancer (PMID: 30599775), and MYB fusions have been observed in hematological cancers (PMID: 30599775).
