| Gene Description | MYH10, myosin heavy chain 10, encodes the non-muscle myosin IIB motor protein that mediates cellular mechanotransduction (PMID: 25072053), thus plays a role in diverse biological processes including extracellular matrix remodeling (PMID: 30389913), cell adhesion, motility (PMID: 19851336, PMID: 30552850, PMID: 17312025), epithelial-mesenchymal transition (PMID: 30552850), and development of the brain and heart (PMID: 9356462, PMID: 11283949). A MYH10 fusion with RET has been identified in infantile myofibromatosis (PMID: 28028925), and decreased Myh10 expression has been identified in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (PMID: 32226520). | ||||||||||
