| Gene Description | SEPTIN2, septin 2, is a member of the Septin GTPase family that interacts with the actin (PMID: 15541171) and microtubule (PMID: 21788367) cytoskeleton system, and is involved in chromosomal congression (PMID: 20372094), epithelia polarization and organization (PMID: 21788367, PMID: 33147991), neurogenesis (PMID: 41408595), mitochondrial fission (PMID: 27215606), podosome formation, and angiogenesis (PMID: 31865373). Mutations in SEPTIN2 have been identified in various tumor types (PMID: 27882315) and a KMT2A-SEPTIN2 fusion has been identified in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 16682951, PMID: 17574968) and myelodysplastic syndrome (PMID: 18656699). | ||||||||||||
