| Gene Description | NFKBIA, NFKB inhibitor alpha, encodes IKappa B alpha, a member of the nuclear factor kappa B inhibitor family, which is responsible for inactivation of NF-kappa B via inhibition of nuclear localization signals (PMID: 24578542). Inactivating mutations and/or deletion of NFKBIA have been observed in lymphoma (PMID: 19507254), glioblastoma (PMID: 21774728), and nasopharyngeal carcinoma (PMID: 28098136), and NFKBIA variants may confer susceptibility risk to colorectal cancer (PMID: 29564065) and gastric cancer (PMID: 28670959). | ||||||||||
