Gene Description ATP1B1, ATPase Na+/K+ transporting subunit beta 1, encodes for a protein that plays a major role in ensuring normal NA+ and K+ gradients across the plasma membrane and manages cell activity (PMID: 26506237). An ATP1B1-NRG1 fusion has been observed in cholangiocarcinoma (PMID: 28950338) and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 29802158), and decreased expression of ATP1B1 has been associated with clear cell renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 24452105).
