Gene Symbol ATP2A2
Synonyms ATP2B | DAR | DD | SERCA2
Gene Description ATP2A2, ATPase sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ transporting 2, encodes a P-type intracellular cationic pump that transports calcium ions from the cytoplasm to the sarcoendoplasmic reticulum (PMID: 10080178, PMID: 26608610), and plays a role in keratinocyte adhesion (PMID: 10080178, PMID: 22277942), and regulating cardiac function (PMID: 9891028, PMID: 19328205, PMID: 14630633). Increased ATP2A2 expression has been identified in colorectal cancer (PMID: 16861967), and a fusion with MAP3K3 has been identified in atypical Spitzoid tumor (PMID: 30640733).
