Gene Description NT5E (CD73), 5'-nucleotidase, converts adenosine monophosphate (AMP) to adenosine to regulate cellular homeostasis and functions as an immune checkpoint inhibitor (PMID: 29720980). NT5E (CD73) high expression in the tumor microenvironment has been implicated as a prognostic biomarker in a variety of tumor types, including colorectal, NSCLC, ovarian, TNBC, melanoma, renal, and gastric (PMID: 29914571, PMID: 28258700).
