Gene Description UBR5, ubiquitin protein ligase E3 component n-recognin 5, is a key regulator of the ubiquitin-proteasome system, thus plays a role in diverse biological processes including development and turmorigenesis (PMID: 26464214). Amplification of UBR5 has been reported in breast and ovarian cancer, and UBR5 mutations are frequently identified in mantle cell lymphoma (PMID: 26464214).
