| Gene Description | CXXC5, CXXC finger protein 5, is a member of the CXXC-type zinc finger family (PMID: 30479059), and plays a role in transcriptional regulation (PMID: 26462610, PMID: 33241676), signaling (PMID: 30479059), TP53-dependent DNA damage response (PMID: 19557330), apoptosis (PMID: 23906331), myelopoiesis (PMID: 19182210), and erythropoiesis (PMID: 33241676). CXXC5 is within a genomic region commonly deleted in myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 33241676) and overexpression of CXXC5 has been observed in various tumor types including melanoma, thyroid, breast, (PMID: 21325450), and prostate cancer (PMID: 29027288). | ||||||||||||
