Gene Description SIRT6, sirtuin 6, is a member of the sirtuin family of proteins that acts as both deacetylase and mono-ADP ribosyltransferase, and is involved in diverse cellular processes including DNA repair, inflammation, apoptosis, proliferation, metabolism, and aging (PMID: 26717993). Dysregulation of Sirt6 expression has been identified in a variety of solid tumors and hematological cancers (PMID: 26717993).
