Gene Description HDAC7, histone deacetylase 7, is a member of the class IIa histone deacetylase family that regulates gene transcription (PMID: 35303381, PMID: 25244360), and plays a role in diverse biological processes including musculoskeletal system development (PMID: 11279209, PMID: 21324898, PMID: 17997710, PMID: 25389289), immune cell function (PMID: 12753745, PMID: 17369396, PMID: 23696748), and vascular integrity (PMID: 16873063). Increased HDAC7 expression has been reported in multiple tumor types (PMID: 38487728) including non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 35277183), pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PMID: 18506539), and high-grade gliomas (PMID: 30654849).
