Gene Description PIK3CG, phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit gamma, is one of four Class I phosphoinositide 3-kinases that is predominantly expressed in leukocytes and regulates leukocyte proliferation and differentiation (PMID: 23330955), and plays a role in inflammation and immune suppression (PMID: 27642729). Overexpression of Pik3cg has been observed in claudin-low breast cancer (PMID: 32368142) and PIK3CG mutations have been reported in lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 31747302, PMID: 31386689).
