| Gene Description | SPA17, sperm surface protein Sp17, is a cancer-testis antigen (CTA) that is specifically expressed in ciliated cells and flagella of spermatozoa, indicating a role in sperm motility and may also function in cell adhesion and migration (PMID: 30309325). Overexpression of Spa17 has been observed in subtypes of ovarian cancer (PMID: 30309325, PMID: 26263201), uterine cancer (PMID: 27618037), lung cancer (PMID: 25739119, PMID: 24103781), and hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 23923079). | ||||||||||
