Gene Description

RBM47, RNA binding motif protein 47, plays a key role in post-transcriptional regulation of RNA, specifically C to U RNA editing, by interacting with APOBEC1 (PMID: 24916387, PMID: 30309881, PMID: 29844590), regulates alternative splicing via acting as a splicing factor (PMID: 27044866, PMID: 31358901), and controls the TP53-p21 signaling axis (PMID: 31511650). Decreased expression of RBM47 has been identified in colorectal cancer (PMID: 28680090) and breast cancer (PMID: 24898756), and a fusion with RBM47 and CDK12 has been identified in prostate cancer (PMID: 31592503).

The web-based, subscription version, CKB BOOST™, includes more than 2000 cancer-related genes and is designed to interrogate the knowledgebase for specific data attributes while enabling a robust browse-like feature when the desired content is unknown.

Downloadable data from CKB is available using the FLEX version. CKB FLEX delivers CKB content as a flat file or JSON, enabling CKB data integration.
