Gene Description POU5F1, POU class 5 homeobox 1, is a transcription factor involved in development and stem cell pluripotency (PMID: 18338330). POU5F1 fusions have been observed with EWSR1 in soft tissue tumors (PMID: 18338330, PMID: 21962892) and high expression of Pou5f1 has been associated with poor prognosis in colorectal cancer (PMID: 29488015).
