Gene Description

LAMTOR1, late endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 1, acts as the anchor protein for a complex that functions to tether mTORC1 to lysosomes, which plays a role in activation of mTORC1 and in T-cell function (PMID: 29158492, PMID: 28768723, PMID: 24377928). A LAMTOR1-AKT1 fusion has been identified in an indeterminate epithelioid neoplasm (PMID: 30877085), and a fusion with PRKCD has been identified in benign fibrous histiocytoma (PMID: 24721208, PMID: 26432191).
