Gene Description PPP2R1A, protein phosphatase 2 scaffold subunit Aalpha, contains 15 Huntingtin-Elongation-A subunit-TOR (HEAT) repeats (PMID: 31214504) and is a scaffold subunit of the major serine-threonine phosphatase PP2A, which has roles in cell signaling, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis (PMID: 23454242). PPP2R1A is frequently mutated in uterine serous carcinoma and serous endometrial cancer (PMID: 23454242, PMID: 22888282, PMID: 31214504).
