Gene Description INTS8, integrator complex subunit 8, encodes a subunit of the RNA polymerase II (RNAPII)-associated integrator complex (PMID: 16239144, PMID: 25882383), which plays a role in transcriptome integrity maintenance (PMID: 28542170) and transcriptional repression (PMID: 32966759). INTS8 mutations have been identified in peripheral T cell lymphoma (PMID: 26536348), increased INTS8 expression has been observed in hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 30881114, PMID: 27567667), and INTS8 fusions have been identified in breast cancer (PMID: 29617662) and melanoma (PMID: 29099951).
