| Gene Description | HHAT, protein-cysteine N-palmitoyltransferase HHAT, is a member of the membrane-bound O-acyltransferase (MBOAT) family that catalyzes amino-terminal palmitoylation of sonic hedgehog (SHH) for activation (PMID: 25488661). Inhibition or knockdown of Hhat has been shown to be effective in preventing tumor cell proliferation in preclinical studies (PMID: 28408481). | ||||||||||
