| Gene Description | PRKCA, protein kinase C alpha, is a member of the PKC family of serine/threonine kinases, which plays a role in several biological processes including proliferation, differentiation, survival, and migration (PMID: 15585319, PMID: 12417014). Dysregulation of PRKCA expression has been associated with multiple tumor types, including breast cancer (PMID: 24970481, PMID: 24366551, PMID: 12417014), while Prkca overexpression has been reported in lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 31612005), fusions have been observed in papillary glioneuronal tumors (PMID: 30759284), and a mutation has been observed in chordoid glioma (PMID: 29915258, PMID: 29476136). | ||||||||||
